Shimano DXR Rear Cassette Hub
The Shimano DXR cassette hub features a forged alloy shell, with a precision unsealed cup and cone bearing system which offers very little resistance, allowing this hub to spin fast and easy.
This design also allows for easy maintenance and adjustment. This is a 36H low flange hub with a hollow (3/8) axle, and 100mm steel Allen head bolts. Shimano is know for producing very high quality components in the bicycling world, and this hub lives up to the reputation. Shimano also has rich history in the BMX world as well pioneering the famous Shimano DX pedals back in the early 80’s, a design which the basis for almost every pedal on the market today.
We definitely like this hub and want to point out that is made for BMX racing and light dirt jumping. However it is bit over priced in our opinion. Profile cassette hubs are less expensive, and made in the USA to a very high quality standard. But If money is no object and you really want the best, we would recommend Chris King Hubs
