S&M Redneck XLT Stem

The S&M Redneck XLT stem is on of the best stems you can buy. First of, it is made in the USA, CNC machined from 6061 aluminum. That makes a big difference. Many other stems are cast or forged, then maybe machined afterwords. The process used to make the Redneck stem gives you a product that is stronger, and made to more precise specs than other stems. Also, this latest version features extensive machining to remove excess, un-needed material allowing it to be one of the lightest stems on the market at only 11.3 ounces.

The S&M Redneck comes complete with grade 8, chromolly, allen head bolts. These bolts have a more precise thread cut, and more tensile strength, than many of the imported stems have. S&M also includes a free 6mm allen wrench so you will always have the right size to use when adjusting your stem. Tip: If you want to shave off a few more ounces you can buy a set of aftermarket titanium bolts from companies like 43 Hardware.

This design is front loading stem with a 53mm reach, which is a medium length stem. The offset lowers your bars .36″ That’s 1/3″ for all you guys not good at math. Strong enough for street, but light enough for racing, the S&M Redneck XLT is pretty hard to improve upon in our book.

It is available in standard colors like black, red, gold, orange and silver. S&M also produces a few  limited edition colors like camo and one that is covered in the S&M shield logo. Pick one up at your favorite bike shop for around $60
